Los Angeles Haunted Hayride

This one gives us the creeps – but in a good way! In the 1920s, King Gillette was quite the man about town, hosting fabulous parties at his 500-acre ranch. Then one night, inmates from a local insane asylum invaded one of his soirees. Only a few guests escaped to tell the tale, but now you can tell your own story after visiting this scary place.

West Hollywood Halloween Carnival

Some of the best costumes in town can be found at the West Hollywood Halloween Carnival.
Organizers are shutting down Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood for the famous West Hollywood Carnival. Bands will play throughout the night at the event describe as “the largest Halloween street party in the world!” It’s our pick for seeing the most outrageous and inventive costumes ever. For those of you who prefer more fun than fright on Halloween, this shouldn’t be missed.
Halloween night, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. along Santa Monica Boulevard from Doheny Drive to La Cienega Boulevard. Free event, $15 parking.

Pasadena Old Town Haunt

You can never be too rich or too thin at the Pasadena Old Town Haunt.
Enter the creepy basement of one of the oldest buildings in Pasadena and get ready to be scared silly. There’s a story that this building is cursed and evil happenings have plagued residents since it was constructed. Workmen have tragically lost their lives and other creepy things have occurred. Take a tour of this spooky space and prepare to be scared, very scared!

Visit this classic Halloween destination that promises to scare up even more fun than ever before. Organizers are hosting a special VIP section with celebrity hosts, tarot card readings, psychics and a huge food court. Oh and did we mention the Queen Mary really is haunted?

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios

The scariest movies come to life at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.
The most terrifying movies come to life at night at Universal Studios. Four all-new mazes plus six all-new scare zones including the flesh-eating zombies from Shaun of the Dead and an entirely new Saw-themed Terror Tram will have you wishing it was just a movie.
