Video Pick: The Day I Was Almost Gay

Randy Ross, single guy writer and humorist, went on an around-the-world adventure that inspired him to write a hilarious book about being single.  That led to a 55-minute one-man show called “The Chronic Single’s Handbook, about a chronically-single guy in search of the woman of his dreams.

The controversial show offers an unapologetic look at how men really feel about sex, love, marriage, and massage parlors, and is performed by Ross at literary events, clubs and theater festivals around the country. In this video clip, titled “The Day I Was Almost Gay,” Ross tells us about the time he hitchhiked to California, when he was in his 20s, and met a man who looked like Sharon Stone.
