Who doesn’t love Thai food with its exotic flavors that range from savory to sweet and from spicy to minty cool. We all have our favorite Thai food restaurants, but what if you could prepare delicious, authentic Thai recipes at home for yourself and your friends?
Join us on Saturday, September 26 at 5 p.m. when SingularCity member Mira Borvornsin, also known as The High Heel Gourmet will teach us how prepare:
* Green Curry with Beef and Thai Egg Plant
* Thai BBQ Chicken
* Larb with Ground Pork
* Green Papaya Salad with Dried Shrimp, Tomatoes and Peanuts
* Sticky Rice
* Mango with Sticky Rice and Coconut Milk
When the feast is prepared, we’ll sit down and enjoy a terrific meal together, along with your choice of Thai beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Plus, you’ll be provided with the recipes so you’ll remember how to make everything at home.
Mira is a native of Bangkok and now lives in Manhattan Beach. She is an artist who expresses her creativity not only with food, but across many mediums including graphic design, jewelry and photography. An avid world traveler, she develops recipes for restaurants, designs menus and is a custom confectioner for special events. The “high heel gourmet” moniker comes from that fact that Mira is five-feet tall and wears heels (or platforms) in the kitchen to get a better view of the kitchen landscape.
This class, conducted “demonstration” style with volunteers from the audience, will take place at a historic home near downtown Los Angeles.
