You don’t have to go out for pizza or have one delivered. Making your own personal pizza at home is easier and quicker than you think.
I think we all love a pizza, I know I do. It’s a great go-to for comfort food and convenient too. I usually have the ingredients for the base recipe (see below) on hand and can scrape together some topping from my fridge and pantry. So, if I can’t be bothered with going to the store, or I’m just really impatient, I can make my own pizza in just ten minutes flat.
Quick Pizza Dough
- 2 tbsp. self raising flour
- 1 tbsp. plain yoghurt
- A pinch of salt
To make the dough, mix all the ingredients together and knead it for thirty seconds.
Sprinkle some flour onto a clean work surface and roll the dough into a circle about 9 inches in diameter.
Now you can add any toppings you like, but here is one of my favorites along with the quickest way to cook it.
Artichoke and Mozzarella Pizza
- 1 pizza base
- 1 tomato
- 2 artichoke hearts
- 1 tbsp. Italian tomato sauce
- 3 tbsp. grated cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Place a teaspoon of cooking oil in a fry pan and heat over a medium heat until it begins to ripple.
Place the pizza base in the pan and fry for two minutes.
Turn the pizza base and while the second side cooks, spread the tomato sauce then the cheese over the top.
Slice the tomato and artichokes and arrange evenly over the top of the pizza and season with the salt and pepper.
Place the pizza under a hot broiler until the cheese melts then enjoy.
