Singularmagazine is getting a reputation as the new kid on the block, and the Singular name is buzzing wildly around Hollywoodville. And for good reason. With a March/April issue featuring Leonardo DiCaprio on the cover and nine Maggie nominations, including best city magazine, from the prestigious Western Publishing Association, it was time to let loose and celebrate with the bright colors and optimism of the new season. So we rolled out the festive marimba band, decked out the models in hip L.A. designer duds — and threw a party! And what a party it was.

Five hundred enthusiastic guests turned out at the William Turner Gallery in Santa Monica’s Bergamot Station art gallery complex on March 8 to applaud the sassy upstart that brings a fresh, new view of what it means to be single and living in L.A. They sipped luscious lychee vodka cocktails from Kai Vodka, quenched their thirst with e-lix-r Tonics and sampled heavenly wines from Cielo Winery.

Tres L.A. tantalized the crowd with devilishly addictive red-velvet cupcakes and innovatively presented Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. W Hotel in Scottsdale awarded an exciting weekend for two to a lucky winner. And a sleek and sexy Aston Martin 2009 DBS, featured in the latest James Bond adventure, Quantum of Solace, greeted arriving guests and set the tone for a glamorous yet playful party mood. It was another successful leap forward for the new kid in town.
