I can't tell you how many times my married friends try to set me up on the most ridiculous blind dates. I finally had to say no to more because it was downright baffling not to mention insulting. I thought these people knew me - and then they'd try to match me up with someone who whose only qualification in terms of being a good match for me was they were single!
