SingularCity’s Urban Adventures group invites you to join them on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 7 p.m. for a Korean BBQ experience at Star King at 3807 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010, a beautiful, authentic Korean BBQ restaurant near Koreatown.
The evening begins with a beer, wine and soju hour from 7-8 p.m. on Star King’s outdoor patio. Soju, is a distilled beverage native to Korea that is similar to sake and is often consumed as a “soju bomb” where a shot glass of soju is dropped into a pint of beer (similar to a boilermaker) and quickly downed.
At 8 p.m. we move into the private dining room where we will be seated at tables that have their own charcoal braziers to begin a multi-course Korean BBQ feast that starts with appetizers and a large assortment of tasty little dishes called banchan and continues on to the house specialty: melt-in-your-mouth Piedmontese beef along with marinated beef boneless short ribs, jidori chicken breast and shrimp — all grilled before our eyes and shared family style.
In keeping with Korean tradition there will be beer and soju downed at regular intervals! (Soft drinks and tea/coffee for those who are designated drivers.)
Tickets are $25 – a great deal for an all inclusive meal that would normally run closer to $65 per person. (The beer and wine reception from 7-8 p.m. is not included in the price.) To purchase your ticket, which includes the meal, drinks, tax and tip go to: https://singularcity-korean-bbq.eventbrite.com/
Parking is available for just $2 in the Star King parking structure. Enter one block west of Western on Manhattan. There is an entrance directly from the structure to the StarKing patio where the fun begins.
