Betty B. Dearing Mountain Trail

Event – Hollywood Hills Hike

Betty B. Dearing Mountain Trail
Betty B. Dearing Mountain Trail in the Hollywood Hills

Join SingularCity’s “I Heart Hiking” group on Sunday, August 5 at 4 p.m. for a short, relatively easy trail loop in one of the most accessible areas of the Hollywood Hills. This event is open to all and provides gorgeous, golden lit vistas as the sun begins to head towards the horizon. We will meet at the Wilacre Park Parking Lot at 4 pm.

Commonly known as Fryman Canyon, the park is labeled “Wilacre Park” on some maps, and the trail sign declares it the “Betty B. Dearing Mountain Trail.” Whatever you want to call it, the hike on the paved portion of this trail only last for about 0.3 miles, giving way to a dirt road. But even the paved portion is a nice walk — well shaded and offering nice views of the San Fernando Valley.
