Join us Thursday, October 30 – Monday, November 3, 2014 in New Orleans for the ultimate Halloween experience. What better city in all the world to celebrate Halloween with its haunted tours, beautiful cemeteries, voodoo shops and outrageous parties.
We’ll stay at the luxurious Bourbon Orleans hotel located in the heart of the French Quarter where we’ll be welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine…oh… hmm and besides being a beautiful hotel, it’s haunted… but don’t worry, the ghosts are friendly!
After checking in, we’re off to see the Krewe of Boo Halloween Parade and then to Kingfish to enjoy a sumptuous Creole and Cajun dinner inspired by veteran New Orleans chef Greg Sonnier. The ingredients are traditional Louisiana, but with an unconventional and fanciful flare. It’s the perfect place for our first meal in one of the greatest food cities on Earth and SingularCity guests get 50 percent off!
On Friday (Halloween), after our complimentary breakfast at the Bourbon Orleans, we have FREE tickets to Historic Tours “Cemetery/Voodoo” tour where we’ll visit St. Louis Cemetery No. 1. with an experienced docent who will lead the way, telling humorous, tragic and inspiring tales as we view the beautiful tombs, including the one that belongs to voodoo queen Marie Laveau.
That night, the French Quarter becomes one big Halloween party, the likes of which you’ve never seen. We start with an authentic New Orleans dining experience developed by Chef Ben Thibodeaux at Tableau located on picturesque Jackson Square where we’ll receive a complimentary glass of wine. After dinner, we’re off to the Lestat Coronation Ball hosted by the Vampire Lestat Fan Club with special guest, “Diary of a Vampire” author Anne Rice.
The parties continue. On Saturday, there’s the New Orleans Witches Ball hosted by the New Orleans Black Hat Society and held at the historic Elms Mansion, a beautiful example of Italianate-style architecture in the Garden District of New Orleans. Visit their pin board for inspiration for your costume! Or perhaps the Endless Night Vampire Ball at House of Blues in the French Quarter, rated the No. 1 Big Halloween party in the world by TripAdvisor.com and described as a “Venetian masquerade ball meets vampire court with the energy of a rock concert and the elegance of a burlesque cabaret.” SingularCity guests can purchase discounted tickets for both events!
For our last night in New Orleans, we’ll enjoy a dinner jazz cruise aboard the Natchez, where we’ll savor the beauty and romance of the New Orleans skyline on the last authentic steamboat on the Mississippi River. We’ll explore the ship, go up to the Texas deck to listen to the band, enjoy a buffet dinner and enjoy a 2-hour cruise America’s most iconic river. Tickets for the cruise are more than half off for SingularCity guests.
The cost for the trip is the responsibility of each individual: flights, hotel, meals and activities.
