Cambria Weekend Adventure

Beautiful Moonstone Beach in Cambria.

Have you ever been to Cambria, a charming seaside village on California’s Central Coast? If you have, you know why we want to go back!

Join us on the weekend of October 23rd for a road trip to Cambria, a scenic four-hour drive north of Los Angeles where we have a special SingularCity member rate at the Cambria Pines Lodge, nestled on 4-acres of forest and landscaped gardens. Share a room or have the entire suite to yourself. At these rates, it’s a great deal either way. You can even bring your pet! (As long as you specify that you are doing so when you book your room.)

We’ll kick-off our weekend on Friday evening with half price wine tasting at Fermentations. That means 5 wine tastings for just $2.50 and 15 percent off should you decide to purchase any bottles. Fermentations constantly discovers wonderful new gourmet foods, wines and accessories for entertaining in the wine country lifestyle.

From there we’ll stroll over to have dinner at Robin’s Restaurant. Set in a spacious garden setting, Robin’s in renowned for handcrafted global cuisine made from seasonal, locally grown and organic ingredients. Our party will receive 40 percent off the food tab.

Saturday morning we’re taking a tour of the Stepladder Creamery. We’ll meet their friendly herd of LaMancha goats and tour their brand new creamery facility and milking parlor that were both built inside of the ranch’s historic 100-year old barn. We’ll learn about cheese-making and conclude our tour with a tasting of their delicious, assorted goat cheeses.

On Saturday afternoon, we have a complimentary wine tasting lined up at Cuttruzzola Vineyards tasting room. This boutique winery, located just outside of Cambria, specializes in Rieslings and Pinot Noirs. Our guests will enjoy 5 tastings and have the opportunity to purchase bottles to take home with a 10 percent discount.

From there we’re off for a stroll along Moonstone Beach, voted one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in California by US magazine.

We’ll enjoy a sunset dinner on the patio of the Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill one of Cambria’s favorite oceanfront restaurants with hands-down, the best view of the beach, great food and awesome bartenders. As VIP guests, we’ll have reserved seating and receive 30 percent off our entire tab. And then we’re off to Hearst Castle to tour this historic California mansion after dark just as Mr. Hearst’s own guests did in the 1930s. We’ll wind our way through Casa del Mar, Casa Grande’s social rooms, guest accommodations, the Main Library and Mr. Hearst’s own private Gothic Suite. Docents dressed in 1930s period attire complete the experience, bringing the Castle to life once again.

On Sunday, we’ll enjoy brunch at Indigo Moon Cafe as the guests of the restaurant’s owners Jay and Dena Somers. (Yes, that means they are picking up the tab!) Located in one of Cambria’s oldest historical buildings this charming cafe is known for serving quality cuisine with superb service for more than 20 years. Born as a cheese and wine shop, Indigo Moon has evolved along a natural progression with the chefs’ creativity; exploring and expanding modern American cuisine.

Then, before heading home, we’ll head up the coast a few miles to see the elephant seals after stopping in at the Hearst Ranch Winery known for its premium, handcrafted wines that include 14 varietal and blended wines such as their estate-grown Tempranillo, Malbec, and Petite Sirah. SingularCity guests get half-off their tasting fee ($5 instead of $10) or complementary with their purchase of a bottle at 15 percent off the regular price.

You can pick and choose what you’d like to do. Come with the group or explore independently.

You must book your room by September 25 in order to get the special rate and once these 10 suites are gone, the rate will depend on what’s still available at the lodge. Individual rooms may cancel up to 72 hours in advance of arrival with no penalty.

To RSVP, log into the community and RSVP on the event page or e-mail with CAMBRIA in the subject line and we will contact you so you can join the trip.
