Join us on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at at 10 a.m. for a bike ride along the beach bike path that runs from Fisherman’s Village in Marina Del Rey to Hermosa Beach where we’ll find Fiesta Hermosa, the annual 3-Day Memorial Day festival that takes place in downtown Hermosa Beach.
We will park our bikes at the festival’s FREE bike valet where they will be safe and sound as we join the party. Once our trusty metal steeds have been teethered, we’ll be off to enjoy the festivities that include a wide selection of cuisine in the food court. Everything is delicious – from roasted corn to Thai, Greek, and Mexican food, to tri-tip sandwiches and barbecued sausages. Handmade guacamole, crepes, and shaved ice creations are also popular with the crowd, along with your favorite “fair food” — cotton candy, caramel apples, fresh squeezed lemonade, and funnel cakes.
The Charity Beer & Wine Garden features many different brews of beer, a selection of wines, and icy coolers served by town “celebrities,” including the Mayor, city councilmembers, non-profit and other civic organizations. The participating organizations receive all proceeds for their good works in the community.
Fiesta Hermosa is the “Largest Arts & Crafts Fair in Southern California,” featuring approximately 300 artists including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handicrafters.
There are two stages featuring live music – one at the Main Stage on the Pier and another in the Charity Beer & Wine Garden. The Main Stage features the finest “tribute bands” performing the classic rock of bands such as Santana, Bob Seger, The Who, U2 and Van Halen, to name just a few. Classic rock, 80s and reggae are showcased in the Charity Beer & Wine Garden.
Meet the SingularCity gang at 10 a.m. at Dock 52 located at 13505 Fiji Way Fiji Way Marina Del Rey, CA 90292. Parking here is FREE and this is where we’ll jump on our bikes and start the day.
If you don’t have a bike, rent one! Daniels Bikes in Fisherman’s Village has one you can rent. Call them at (310) 980-4045.
After we are sufficiently sunned and funned at the Hermosa Fiesta, we’ll get back on our bikes and head back to Marina Del Rey.
This event is open to everyone so invite your friends. Just please RSVP in advance by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with HERMOSA in the subject line.
